Major: Global Health & NGOs and Social Change

Hometown: Dallas, Texas

Hi, my name is Anya Kushwaha and I was a pre-law major (former) biomedical engineering student, now pursuing the study of global health & NGOs and social change with a minor in gender and social justice. I professionally aspire to pursue international or human rights law as well as practice global health field work internationally. Outside of Theta Tau, you can find me in the glorious Undergraduate Student Government office as the Executive Director of the Student Assembly for Gender Empowerment, programming events, working on advocacy initiatives, or in the midst of bureaucratic paperwork. I am also an executive board member for GlobeMed, a social justice and health equity organization, a research assistant in USC’s LGBT Health Equity Initiative Lab, and a teacher through USC’s Joint Educational Project, Teaching International Relations Program, and Critical Media Project. I really love being involved, but in my (rare) free time, I’m at a concert, watching movies, at a museum, talking about politics, or with dogs. Feel free to reach out to me anytime!
